Yooka and Laylee are guest characters in Brawlout, originating from Yooka-Laylee.
Character Backstory[]
Yooka and Laylee are the protagonists of Yooka-Laylee, Yooka is a chameleon while Laylee is a bat. One day Yooka and Laylee were relaxing in their home, Shipwreck Creek when Laylee's book was stolen from them by the despicable Capital B, a corporate overlord who owns Hivory Towers, his company. The duo set out to retrieve the book back from the dastardly villain.

Normal Attacks
Tail 'N' Punch - Neutral Attack - Yooka jabs with tail then punches
Air Attack - Air Neutral Attack - Yooka spins in the air while jumping, while Laylee flies around him
Laylee Spin - Up Tilt Attack - Laylee bounces off of Yooka's head and spins upward above Yooka's head
Duo Corkscrew - Up Charge Attack - Yooka and Laylee spin upwards (can be charged)
Tail Twirl - Side Tilt Attack - Yooka spins while running
Reptile Rush - Side Charge Attack - Laylee curls Yooka up into a ball and charges forward.
Tail Trip - Down Tilt Attack - Laylee trips opponents with his tail (if close Laylee will use a quick burst of the Sonar 'Splosion)
Sonar 'Splosion - Down Charge Attack - Laylee charges up a sound wave explosion
Buddy Slam - Air Down Attack - Yooka jumps and Laylee hits Yooka downward
Special Attacks
Frostberries - Neutral Special - Yooka fires frostberries from his mouth (can be charged)
Slurp State - Side Special - Yooka captures an opponents' projectile and shoots it back at them, if used near ledge Yooka will grab onto it and pull himself back onto the stage
Flappy Flight - Up Special - Laylee flies upwards while Yooka holds onto him, if you hold down the button they will glide for a while
Lizard Leap - Down Special - Yooka uses his tail for an extra jump
Air Attack Tail Twirl - Air Down Special - Yooka spins in the air as Laylee flies around him (this is based off the second attack from the Tail Twirl move where Laylee does the same thing but accompanied by green and purple effects).
